Lacombe Museum

Signage, Print Design

The Lacombe Museum took over the of the Lacombe Flatiron Building, creating a giftshop featuring local artisans, new gallery exhibition space, and additional archive storage.

Our first project together was creating new banners for their street banners, as well as window graphics to help filter the light in their street-level windows.

Street Banners and Window Graphics

Inspired by the vast collection of historical images in their archives and a pun about windows into history, I developed a concept that turned the honeycomb motif in their logo into a pattern filled with archival photos and tints from their brand colours. This design was adapted for their street banners and the window decals.

Print Design

The Museum approached me to create an updated version of their Access to Summer booklet, which presents their summer programming information. Using the “windows into history” motif that was developed for the window banners, we created a colourful and inviting presentation of the 2022 museum exhibits and events.
